I would return it. It would very expensive to fix it so you would never know it was there, much more that $50.00 and you bought a new bass not a damaged bass.

Correct. I knew it was not a showroom piece and I got it for a good price. But, I would not have bought it if I knew of the extra damage. Damage that supposedly happened in transit. The original ad shows front and back pretty well, and has close-ups of the other imperfections (a few chips in the neck and headstock). There were no pics of the sides so you can't tell if the "new" damage was already present.I'm probably the only one on the fence, since you said the bass actually had chips on it it had to have been marked as a players bass already?
