Here's a parts bass I got in a not so great trade deal
. I've changed all the electronics to EMG and swapped the bridge and tuners out and leveled some bad frets. The neck I assume is a low end Fender neck and the body is a MIM Fender.
The relicing was done by the member I got it from, some is good some is horrible.
Now plays and sounds very good.

Warmoth 1-piece maple neck w/ lined fretless rosewood fb, Warmoth alder body with figured maple top, Bartolini quad-coil humbucker, Bartolini NTMB preamp/EQ (installed after this pic was taken!), Hipshot Type A bridge, Schaller machines, tuned EADGC.
Michael Dolan 4-piece maple neck w/ fretted rosewood fb & carbon fiber reinforcing bars, Warmoth alder body, EMG J-type pickups and EMG BTC preamp/EQ, Schaller bridge, Gotoh machines, tuned eEaAdDgG.
Would love to own more! I keep thinking that instead of hunting around for the "perfect" P Bass I should just build one out of some cool parts.

It took the parts from three Roadstars (and some other scraps) to build this. It's my favorite bass, and I have a lot of basses.
Just a guess, but I am going to venture that your favorite color combo is red/pearloid
I have quite a few basses and most of them are FrankenFenders to varying degrees. I personally prefer lots of relatively cheap basses to few expensive boutique basses). Here's my latest (and quite possibly the crown jewel of my collection) FrankenFender. It is a result of trades with fellow TalkBassers RiZzBot and StudioGC. Thanks guys!

w/Nordstrand NPV4 pickup
Fender Highway One maple/rosewood Precision neck (type 2 with graphite reinforcement and heel truss rod adjust)
w/Fender stamped Schaller 70's style tuners
strung with a set of DR Marcus Miller Fat rounds
Plays great, sounds wonderful and is only 8.1 pounds. Me likey.

Thank you. The tele neck is the greatest thing to ever happen to my P. Slick looking bass btw. 
How'd you get the flat-heel tele neck on the P? Is there a gap in the pocket covered by the pickguard? Great bass.
Now that I know what this is, it's a Warmoth parts build. Humongous neck. I've named it Thor as the B string is so tight it sounds like thunder. I have and have had LOTS of instruments. This one was an impulse super cheap purchase but all day are work I can't wait to come home and play it. That doesn't happen with most of them.
