Paul Gray form Slipknot found dead

I suggest we all ignore JoeSX - annoying people like him thrive off of attention. We really don't need to hear the next "wonderful" thing he wants to say.

RIP Paul. I got to see Slipknot back in 2002 at the Pledge of Allegiance tour. Paul was playing a 4 string Warwick Corvette. They played "Iowa" and I heard his bass hit me head to toe. He played tasteful bass lines in a very chaotic band - not an easy task. Paul was chanting with his band mates - "666" during the "Heretic Anthem" - tons of fun! I like his playing style and enjoyed Slipknot up to Iowa.

Dying at 38 with a family - that's terrible. If it was drugs, it's a wake-up call to anyone with an addiction - get help!

man, I used to REALLY like slipknot..... I still really like their S/T and Iowa and vol. 3. don't really like the new stuff but damn for real thats crazy... that sucks! It says that the autopsy was inconclusive, so it will be a while before the blood tests come back.... You think you could find out in an autopsy if he ODed? right?

Tmz.com reported the 911 call from the person that found him. The person said there was a syringe and pills next to the bed.

He was a bigger dude maybe he was diabetic. I hope that's the case anyway, not an OD.

Hummm...with his past drug history i doubt it but we shall see. Why is he in his home state holed up in a hotel room...alone? Its sad so many addicts dont see the light or get clean before they crash this hard..can't go back from dead :hmm:

+1. when all who are preaching now have lost a loved one to drug overdose or drug abuse you just may change your tune. it's real easy to point fingers or to say " i'm a better person because i don't do drugs" but when your brother or sister or mother or father dies i bet you don't go preaching about how you were a better person or point out the mistakes they made in their lives. that's all.

And what about people who have lost loved ones and friends because of their decision to get addicted to hard drugs? I lost one friend, and nearly 2 more to overdoses/drug problems, and another to suicide. I think it's one of the most selfish things you can do. If you overdose, that's it, you're done, and you don't have anything left to worry about it. Instead, your friends and your loved ones now have to deal with the fall out. Same with suicide.

I don't really care what people say about it being a disease or whatever, it's a conscious decision that you make to get addicted to it.

I have no sympathy for people who go out that way. My sympathies lie with the family and the relatives.

I wonder if you've lost a loved one or a friend to overdose or suicide. As I said just before, I have, and I would never wish that on anyone, especially to try and change their opinion because of something they said on the internet.
