Paul Gray form Slipknot found dead

i'm sorry, but what kind of selfish person dies of an od and leaves a pregnant wife behind? you would think being a father would at least cause him to calm down a little bit with the drugs. didn't seem to miss a beat.

RIP, selfish dude.

An addict thats what kind of person. If you have never known or been one then you are lucky but as far as that glass house your in....i'm just sayin. Nothing has been confirmed yet so remember the guy has family and to speculate in as innappropriate and taking drugs when you have a child..again just sayin.

maybe, but it's not such a stretch considering he's got a long documented problem with them. hopefully he didn't die of drugs, but considering his past, to condemn drug speculation is a bit disingenuous, don't you think?

Perhaps he was just one of those unfortunate souls who think that drugs help 'stimulate' their creativity. :hmm:

I've met people who insist they are more creative musically when they're 'high'. In Grey's case, the story on Blabbermouth stated that he's been clean for several years now. Now that he was in the Hail! project, maybe he decided to use a little to help him write and ended up od-ing ?

It's just that he does have a history of drug abuse. Not so sure about any possible illnesses/health problems.

Unfounded speculation is unfounded speculation. Do you have anything else to add to the thread, or are you just going to continue to "tsk, tsk" and soapbox?

i'm going to tsk tsk and soapbox.

:D

no, i don't think i will after all. i just thought that it's incredibly sad that their baby won't ever know their dad because of something so fixable.

I'm pretty much in agreement with Jimmy on this one, and in terms of the larger question and notions of what responsibility is and what is the right or wrong thing to do. That said, I can also imagine that at a certain point doing drugs completely preempts or shortcuts rational thoughts, behavior and prioritizations.
