Paul Grey (slipknot)

He's an alright player, with really great tone. Actually some of the best metal tone I've heard... that doesn't stop me from finding Slipknot incredibly childish. And the fact that they are sueing those Burger King Chicken commercials turns them into a complete joke! Gwar should sue Slipknot if that's the case.

Paul grey is pretty good, it shows on the MFKR album with his slapping and jazz walk lines in the song 'Do nothing/bitchslap' but in there new stuff hes just doing normal basslines and following the guitar, but his tone is nice yes.. Warwick!

Corvette 5? the last time i knew he was playing a warwick thumb 4?

:)

I'll bite......i like SlipKnot. I dig Paul's playing for what it is. To me, it plays lines that fit extremely well with Slipknot and their type of music. I'd like to hear what he can do when there aren't 2 guitars, a sampler, a synth?/real time effects guy, a drummer, and an auxillary percussionist all hacking it out. I do like their music though-i think i've got their first CD [the one w/all the numbers, has wait and bleed, sic, amongst others].

Before people jump on my back or throw me in with all the kids that are from other places [thinking tab related], i'm studying jazz at a music conservatory right now. :bassist: I do enjoy a wide variety of music.

That's all

Yes I like Slipknot. And enough people liked them enough to make their last album debut number 1 in the WORLD. Hopefully that is enough to quite the crabby haters that always seem to pop their heads up when they feel the need to dis something they don't comprehend.

To shed a little light on who Paul was, he had a very strong addiction to Heroine. Whether or not its what killed him, it certainly was a factor. He was also a founding member of Slipknot. And he recorded a lot the guitars which many might not know. Needless to say he was more talented then just his bass playing. Which was never stand out in comparison to others, but he was a major force behind the music.

I'm 38, so NOT a kid and I like Slipknot.... So what!!!! to each his own, I mean damn the guy just died and people can't wait to jump on the bandwagon and dis him.... sh!t people give the guy a break... I probably don't like half the CRAP you guys listen to.... I don't flame you for it either!!!!
