How did you de-rat fur it? I've heard that's not a fun process.

I’m not sure what de-rat means? The adhesive was so old that everything (carpet and adhesive) came off easily.

Have you considered putting the oval Peavey badge on it?

I really want an Eminence Inside badge. I cant kind find one anywhere. Going to email Eminence today and see if they have one. But i would put an oval one on it. This badge makes it look old school. To bad most people think Peavey’s suck but little do they know that this one sounds great.

Awesome job! I have an old Peavey 412 TVX that is on its last leg, but I love it and you have inspired me to rehab that Baby! About a year ago I had contacted Parts Express about replacement speakers for it and they recommended Eminence Delta 12LFA's for it...the Peavey stock speakers are no longer made.

LOL.

People call that type of covering "rat fur". It seems to be a pretty polarizing thing. Some people despise it so much that they refuse to buy a cab, no matter how great it sounds, if it's covered with "rat fur" instead of Tolex or Duratex etc.

It's good to know that it came off so easily. Maybe I'll take a stab at mine someday.

Thats what i did and they recommended legend 102-4’s. For my 4 ohm setup. Having an issue that i wasnt expecting. I will post about it. Otherwise it sounds awesome.

Hello after installing these speakers air is whistling through the 1/4 inch jacks. Should i put another port in?. I’m thinking i have to. I already tried sealing it off with no luck. If i need another port how big the other is really big.
