In 1978, my first bass amp was a Peavey TNT100. Was my main amp for about 4 years. Later on I bought a Mark III and a 215 Black Widow cabinet and I used that rig for another 8 years. For a couple years I used a Peavey Mega bass head that was really cool and loud. Even had a built in chorus that wasn't too bad. I also bought and still own a small Peavey practice Microbass amp that I still use, I've had that for close to 25 years. I still have and play an 86' Peavey Foundation S that I bought new. I also own and use an early Peavey Classic 50 410 tweed guitar amp that I absoloutely love. Heck I've had that for getting close to 20 years.
I've moved on to different bass gear these days but my Peavey bass stuff never once gave me any trouble. I think the only amp I've ever had to work on was my Classic 50 and that was a bad diode. I would not hesitate to look at Peavey's new bass gear, in fact I'd love to try one of the VB-3's.
