Did they ever make Foundations in a robins egg blue-type finish? There was a tempting 5er on theebay a week or so ago, but I'd never seen one in that color.
There is a blue Foundation 2000 up on the bay right now. They are asking too much, but it is or best offer.
This 5'er? It's been BIN for weeks, hasn't sold. He's had offers & turned 'em down...IMO, you'd really have to want one to shell out for this overpriced example:

I now have an eighties Foundation, A rosewood and a maple necked early nineties Foundations(SFs), 2 maple neck mid nineties(soapbars), and I just traded for a Fretless Foundation 2000. I like them all, but I am not sure I understand some of the changes peavey made.
The F2000 has a high mass bridge with bridge or through-body stringing which looks like it is probably much more expensive to produce, but the pots are the little dime sized parts that are very cheesy and allowed a great deal of interference. I switched them out, but when I did I noticed a difference in the pickups. The earlier soapbars had a separate ground that was soldered to the pots. It is not present on the F2000, this also seems to contribute to the interference. I know others have complained about noise when soloing a pickup on a Foundation, but this is the first time I have really noticed any hum.
I do like the five bolt neck joint without a plate, but I wonder whether I will miss the tilt mechanism? In general, I am very pleased with my new acquisition, but I am going to have to spend some time working out the electrics. I'll try to add pictures in the next couple of day, but I just located the digital camera, and the batteries are dead

I just bought a Foundation because of it's color. It's Salmon. Pearl Salmon. Matching headstock. Very cool. Needed a lot of work. It is a great player and a great looker. I still need to get the gooey residue from the Peavey Contur case foam off the bass body. WD40 didn't remove it, Goo-Gone didn't remove it. Any ideas?

I used to have one this color, but I sold it to a TB'er from Indiana. I still miss that bass!
