Peavey MiniMega 1000

You could also get one to Tom B at Bassgear Magazine:thumbsup:.

 I am ALL for that, and I've been bugging Bobby and Peavey about this since the 2014 NAMM Show. However, as we only review production units (not prototypes), we are [ahem!] patiently [cough... sputter...] waiting a unit to come in for review. :smug:

Soooooo Sweetwater has raised the price of the MegaMini from $499 to $599? No thanks! Back to what I was doing before lol.

That is most likely Peavey directing them to change the M.A.P. price for online retailers. If you try your local Peavey dealers, they should be willing to cut you a better price in person. Or place a call to an online retailers direct phones if you don't have a local store, ask them if that's their best price. I've never paid M.A.P. I would bet street price will be around $500 after a shift in manufacturer's pricing. Sweetwater or any other online vendor is going to list it at the lowest $ that Peavey will allow in order to sell the most boxes of gear. It's what they do. You will see everyone raising their $ to $599 to comply with Peavey's wishes.

Let's release an amp at namm, then not bring it to market at all for over a year. Then, we can release it again the next year, and promise it at the original price. Then, just before it hits the streets, we'll raise the price. Who's in?

I have taken spots in 2 new (to me) bands in the last couple of weeks. Playing in 3 now. Suddenly, my desire for another small, light, easy-to-lug-to-practice amp went from 1 to 10. I'd like to keep the one I have where it is, for practicing at home. Taking it to an occasional band practice has been okay. But, with all the additional rehearsals I'll be going to now, I'd rather have the one stay setup at home and have another that can mostly live in my truck, along with my 2x10 cab.

Sooo..... come on Peavey! When are we going to be able to actually GET a MM1000? If I'm getting another amp, that is The One I want.
