I'm not holding my breath, but MF still (last I looked), says 10/27. Let's say that actually happens this time, just for the sake of argument. If so, I find myself torn. Are the delays due to some marketing/bureaucratic misjudgment that, while colossal in scope, will have no effect on the (one hopes high) quality and reliability of the amp? Or will the amp, when it comes out, be hastily and questionably made, with issues unresolved and corners cut in an effort to bring something to market and cut losses? What will long term support through Peavey be like? Perhaps overdramatic speculation, but I wonder.
Another, less concrete thing - do I reward Peavey for this bungled effort over, say, Mesa, who seem to have done everything right in bringing their amp to market? No matter, I think, as Mesa's already been amply rewarded for their efforts in interest and pre-orders.
I'm holding on partly because I've been holding on so long already. Sounds like relationship therapy more than an amp thread. What would a good therapist say in this situation? Maybe, "Find something more important to worry about!"
