Peavey MiniMega 1000

Does anyone have a link to a photo of the optional foot switch and what does it control?

Check out the footswitch for the Butcher amp Invalid Link Removed. The MM footswitch is the same, but with different printing. It controls crunch, compressor, kosmos, fx loop, and mute.

I'd be interested, but all those lights would drive me crazy after awhile. Can they be switched off ?

The brightness is adjustable, and certain sections can be turned off. Some lights are used as indicators, so those can't be turned completely off. To me, the best thing to do for an understated look is to set the color to white and set the brightness to minimum.

From everything I have read it will not be.

I believe Bobby confirmed this; he had a technical reason why. Here's what the back panel says:

SPEAKER JACKS PARALLELED
4 Ω MIN 63.2V RMS
1000W RMS 4 OHMS

Coincidentally, I tried running it at 2 ohms yesterday to see what happened because I have been adjusting the over current protection. It worked for a little while, but started cutting out--as it should. I also had a friend short the output several times times with a screwdriver while I was playing, which makes it go into protect immediately.

You call someone who "shorts the output while you're playing" ....a "friend?" :hiding: :rollno:
