I play a Combo300 in my buddy's basement I bought for $60.00 off CraigsList. Pretty clean, but I had to do the voice coil clean. Sounds just fine and is loud and heavy as all get out.

Hey all, been a bit. Finished up a gig a few weeks ago with the MiniMega. It was 100⁰F heat index, under a pavilion, near the woods. Might as well been near a swamp. Wife was next to me the whole night with bug spray so it wasn't too bad!

VB-2, had to take back apart a month ago to replace all the filter caps. My fault. Should have done it when I changed the tubes out.


My EHX 6CA7s finally came in for my VB-3. HUGE difference in sound. Increase in sub low end, and just overall feels more powerful. When I got the 6CA7s for the VB-2 back in February, I had paid $28/tube. I lucked out and since my order was in before all hell broke loose in the market, EHX honored the original price at $41.99/power tube. Today the same tines are pushing near $70/tube for a matched octet with a 3 month waiting period.

Actually hooked up all 4 cabs tonight! Ok there’s one ashdown in there but the latest addition the 1820 sounded killer!! And the 6x15’s running by its side didn’t hurt!!

I’m a recent owner of a minimax and a 2x10 headliner. I love the tones it produces!! It’s not my first peavey, that distinction goes to my Peavey Artist guitar amp that I’ve owned since 1985!!
