Pedal Power Supply Recommendation??

I’ve heard so much good about the CIOKS dc7 but I am completely biased towards strymon Zuma/Ojai. My board is pretty large and I run a zuma and 2 ojai expansions. My board is whisper quick due to the dual isolation of each output. Also strymon is 500mah per output so it will power just about anything.

Strymon fan here as well. Small, but expandable.

I've actually learned a lot from this thread, mainly that I have options that I didn't know I had.

I do like that there are readily-avialable underboard mounting brackets for the Voodoo Labs stuff, though, and that definitely sways me in that direction.

Good talk, y'all/youse/yinz.

Just keep in mind that the Voodoo brackets are really only for Pedaltrains, and the Cioks Grip mount is a much nicer solution for Pedaltrains, and it will work with any board that has a rail to mount it to.

well, I had a Strymon and it was top-notch. I had three MXRs (one ISO brick and two mini-ISO bricks) and all had or developed a hardware problem, so when my only left dies, I'll probably get an Ojai again. in your case that'd be probably Zuma (or two Ojays, they're stackable with a 20V cable).

I also had good experience with Pedaltrain Spark, but only 5 outputs and discontinued.

the reason I didn't try Cioks/Eventide yet is that here they're more expensive than Strymons, but I've heard they're very good. and not really fond of non-standard power cables (on the power brick's end it's not a 2.1mm jack, it's a RCA connector).

an isolated power supply is not an overkill, it definitely improves things IME.

I think you've made a great choice.

As far as the power cables, they are standard RCA connectors and, in my opinion, provide a far better connection to the power supply than the typical connectors. They're also available from plenty of retailers who sell the Cioks line so you're never far from getting any additional cables. But, Cioks makes sure you're going to everything you need included in the box with with the power supply. So concerns about the "non-standard" standard RCA connections are overwrought.
