So far...

Marill: Hmm depending on the stuff you fancy and play, but if I had your board, my space should be replaced by a fuzz/distortion or an octave pedal. But that's just me :) Or a phaser hahah

i'm not sure if an octave pedal will suit me.i play mostly rock stuff, and low octaved notes will be boomy-muddy territory which I am really afraid of coz it will make the basslines get lost in the band mix.

i'm really afraid of that coz I'll be hitting the strings hard and still not be heard, and that's why I have 2 tone shaping pedals on my board lol :)

till now I have not found much use for an octaver. I have not seriously considered a fuzz/distortion.

but I think I'm open to experimentation with a phaser... recommendations? :) (feed my GAS, for I have NONE right now!)

Oooh well thats true.. I guess then a phaser should be fun to experiment with. Hahah or a synth! You could get real radical sounds from the ehx micro synth. As for phaser, i think Redwitch has a moon phaser. Nebula from Mojohand. It worked best for me. Or a Maxon filter. The EHX bass balls, not the nano, is good for those wacky sounds too.

But my guitarist used to say, no gas should mean you've got good enough gas onboard already. HAHAH good for the pocket too :o

I'm a newbie at pedals and i ordered a Pedaltrain MINI a few days ago. I only have a Compressor so far but plan on getting a few pedals in the future. What is the best way to power them all with one source? I saw a few items on this thread but what is the norm to supply power to say 3 to 5 pedals with one power source (assuming they are all 9V).

Visual Sound One-Spot is what I use for most of the pedals. You can get chains with 5 or 8 (not sure the max you can chain). But some pedals (like my EHX XO BMS MOUSE) won't work on the chain and has to have a dedicated wall wart. Some folks use a Brick or similar, but I just use the One spot and the one wall wart; along with a power strip that goes in the top pocket.
