Pedaltrain MINIs United Again!

Worked on my board some tonight.. I've had the Darkglass off to the side since I got it but I think I've figured out how to fit everything im using for my hard rock band. Powering with one spot and the adapter the jamman came with but took the pic before hooking them up.

Shure glxd (wireless/tuner)

Boss cs-2 (compressor/old friend)

Digitech polara (modulation)

Darkglass b7k ultra (dirt/preamp)

Digitech jamman stereo and radial pro DI is my sampling setup. All samples saved and play off memory and is independent of my bass signal chain.

Radial DI for the jamman is actually wedged into the mini with no Velcro lol. Surprisingly even with a bit of overhang on both sides and the radial DI sticking up it fits in the soft case just fine.

After years of not playing, and getting into it again, here's my awkward pedaltrain mini (edit: it's a nano... wrong thread):

Right to left:
Mooer Tender Octaver
Orange FS-1 (engages gain on the amp; position on the board is irrelevant, and it's only there because it fits... barely)
EHX Russian Bassballs modified to work with normal power supply (it's waaay too big)
An always empty pick holder
TC Electronic Ditto Looper

I am officially back to a mini! Just picked up the Tender tonight. All that's left is updating the Comp (I'm thinking Diamond)?

Tuner > SFX Micro Thumpinator > Mooer Tender Octave > MXR Bass Envelope Filter > SFX AY2 > TC Corona Chorus > BBE Opto Stomo Compressor.

What's great about the mini is that it fits perfectly under my MB Combo, when it's tilted back as my monitor. Stage space is like prime real estate these days!

I'm looking into a 1590A comp... How's the SpectraComp? Without getting into the toneprints...
I'm considering a Monocle as well..
Had a Fairfield Accountant, didn't like it.

For reference, I'm using an MXR Bass comp which I love, have a Seymour Duncan Studio Bass, but like the MXR better.
I basically use to level out, get some sustain, and a bit of a boost

I thought you might appreciate this. I picked up a Pelican 1560 off local classifieds today, and will be using it to scale down my gig load-in/out trips & consolidate my gear.

The PT Mini (and Metro) fit perfectly across. It's 20.37" wide, so no room to move around. With the rest of the space, I've got room for cords and gear!

Best part of all - the built in wheels and handle!

Well I bought the Milk Box and the next day the Opti-fet came up for sale in the classifieds. I probably wouldn't have bought the milk box had I know the FEA was going to come available. I'm glad I bought it now though. I like it as much if not a little more than the FEA, which is very surprising. The FEA is impeccable, dead silent, and it has it's own character, but the Milk Box sounds great. It actually sounds like the Cali76. I can totally see why it's the go-to cheap compressor.

Haven't got a chance to try the Cali76, but I've heard many great things about it's tone, so I'm imressed by your comment that they sound alike!!

I really really like what it does to my tone too. I too prefer it more than my Empress Comp due to how it colors the sound!

Yeah obviously the Cali has some features that the DOD doesn't (metering, separate attack and release, DI, etc) and the Cali has a more usable range and lower noise, but when the Milk Box is set in the sweet spot it sounds very similar; added fatness and high end. It's a great little compressor.
