Pet Peeves, let's hear them.

I really like my ipad, but I am irked by just about anyone else with an ipad, ipod, iphone...

When my wife or kids talk to me when I am on the ipad, I have taken to setting the device down and saying out loud, "I am setting this down, because interacting with YOU is more important" in hopes someone may get the clue.

So many folks cant seem to disconnect from the matrix, pull the needle out of their arm, wake up from the hypnosis.

Portable technology is the opiate of the masses.

Open cabinet doors - you opened it bloody close it!
People that think every clean surface is a place to put their trash
Asking advice of someone that turns the conversation around to them
Not putting dirty clothes into the dirty clothes basket
Expecting me to clean up everything when I didn't make the mess
Expecting me to listen to everything that went on at their work when I could give a flying flip

....but enough about my ex-boyfriend :p

Autoplay videos. You go to a news network and are given no option to not download and play the video. And social media sites too; they BS you and claim they do it for your convenience. The lying is part of what irks me.

On Youtube, if you want to keep updated about comments, you have to download the video each time burning up your data.

Co-workers who clip their nails or pop their chewing gum while sitting at their desks in the office.

Yes, we all know these are faux pas no-nos... but unfortunately, I work at a place in which I am within earshot of one of each...

... and one of them is my boss.

Ugh.

Traffic lights that turn red when you approach and there is no traffic in the crossing lanes, so you sit there for three minutes while nothing is happening. If I had a dollar for every one of these I treat as a stop sign (stop, look, proceed) I'd have the nicest bass out there.

Businesses that don't back the products they sell. When I buy a fairly expensive item, the last thing I should hear is, "Do you want to buy the extended warranty for $___?" If you are selling me the darn thing, you should back it up!!! Not forever, but for a reasonable amount of time. When they try to sell me an warranty, I feel like they are admitting that what I'm buying is crap.

I'm pointing the finger at myself for this one:

I hate it when I assume I'll remember to do something when I can easily just do it right then and there, or at least write it down. I'm actually a very efficient and organized person, which makes the rare instances of my personal inefficiency even more aggravating.
