Ok, admission of guilt here, I didn't read all the posts to get here, but I usually do. One of my pet peeves as follows; Why do people stopping at red lights and stop signs stop two car lengths behind the car in front of them? It seems to be getting worse! Don't these people know, or care that they're creating more backed up traffic?

When people choose to gormlessly stop (for no reason or for any reason), why do they always do so in a doorway or other bottleneck?

Yup, doorways are dangerous. This was my first time seeing "gormlessly" and it is now amongst my favorite words
