Pet Peeves, let's hear them.

STUPID GROCERY STORE "CARDS"

The

Kroger card
MVP card
Supersaver card
Petco card
Rite-aid card
Look at me i'm cool card...

Why the heck do I have to get a stupid card to save .50 cent on some cheese!

I know its for advertising but it sure is a pain in the butt when you are in a hurry and dont have a stupid card on you or your keychain..

the next door idiots who can't shut their dogs up, yap yap yap...every so often the 3 dogs sound like a pack of coyotes going on a hunt. These people don't walk them, don't really give them the time of day either.

my computer room window faces their back yard...try to practice on the bass with annoying barking and whining in the background. I swear I'm going to open the window and turn up the amp and be as annoying as their dogs LOL!!!!!!!

So the peeve is inconsiderate people who don't take care of their animals right, don't train their dogs to behave.

now thats ridiculous. thats UNDER the ass, not down on the crack of it.

a 2-4 inch droop is comfortable

and since when does having a comfortable clothing style make me a fast food worker? id wear my clothes this way if i was the ****ing president.

I see this allllll the time, It's really hard to sit in my bus waiting for my group, and I see guys waddling like penguins...let them see me laugh, it's rediculous! WHAT IS THE POINT? showing off the ass??????? Nice undies buddy!

How can anyone hate Avogadro's number? What did it do to you? That's a real kick to the bucky balls.

Another Pet Peeve:
Class-less waitstaff that takes your order at a mid to high level restaurant, and then comes to the table and asks who got what. Do your job for god's sake, try that whole memory thing, it won't hurt you.

It's not advertising; it's spying. They're keeping track of everything you buy.

That's why I went in to Kroger's one day and told them I lost my card. They gave me a replacement and gave me the form to fill out and said I could just put my phone number down and they would be able to link it to my existing information. They are now tracking everything Jenny buys (you know Jenny at 867-5309?)

Pet Peeve:

When TalkBass members refer to that collective musical preparation meeting with their band members as "practice".

Folks, "practice" is what you're supposed to do on your own, usually in the comfort of your own home, to learn your parts, so that you're then prepared to put all the parts together with your bandmates.

That group get-together? The one where everybody plays a piece of music together in order to refine it and polish it, so that everything goes smoothly in performance? That get-together is called a "rehearsal".

Oy! :rollno:

Here are a few of mine:

a. People who talk slow or pause multiple times throughout a single sentence.
b. People who tell half truths. I hate when people tell a story and say I did something that I really didn't (even if it's a positive thing).
c. People who act immature all the time.
d. People who act like elitists.
e. People who can't be wrong.
f. People who tell me to calm down when I'm not even mad or upset to begin with. Honestly, this one makes me go from being calm to pissed off like no other.
g. People who boast.
h. People who don't clean up after themselves.
i. People who complain about their situation, and yet do nothing to change it.
j. People who bully other people or put other people down. Not cool at all.

Lately, it's the misspelling of the word "lose." A lot of people are spelling it "loose" for some reason, as in "I loose low end with this OD pedal." I don't think there are that many people accidentally typing that extra "o" into "lose." At least there's a history behind intentional misspellings like "pwned."

That some douche has to pass me before exiting the interstate. I drive an 18 wheeler. As soon as I signal for a lane change every stomps the accelerator in order to beat me. I want to crush them.

The thing is, most 18 wheeler drivers will get over and then only go one or two miles an hour faster than the guy they're trying to pass. It takes forever and, quite frankly, pisses a lot of people off because they are forced to drop 10, 15, or even 20 mph down and then wait five minutes for one truck to pass another. If 18 wheelers passed at a decent speed I doubt this sort of thing would happen.
