It more or less reminds me of the Porsche that Saga Norén (Sofia Helin) drives in The Bridge (Swedish-Danish crime thriller).

Thinking about old Porsches, an old Porsche 365 speedster cabrio shows up.
I had my motorbike stalled in a former garage with gas station in front, a block away from where i live. It contained dust covered oldtimers. One day I came in to pick up my bike, when the station attendant gestured to me. "Come and have a look".
He showed me an all original white Porsche 365 with a marine blue bonnet.
Said it was bought from the first owner by this guy that worked for a bank.
Who felt that it was safer to stall the car there than in the inner city.

A bit like the one above, but not as creamy, more white.
I would have loved to have a go with that.
But after hearing what it's worth, I doubt if that would happen.

The early Porches are much more my cup o' tea stylistically. I like the down-toned colours they used at that time too. Beautiful cars IMO.

When I was growing up, a neighbor had one in his driveway in faded red. In my adolescent 80s mentality, I used to think, "well, it's not a real 911." Today they're highly collectible. He was right.

The person who started me on bass had a dad who was a dentist. Big old farm property in the middle of the city, 3-stry house, 3-car garage, barn (where we played)
The dad had a white 356B (hardtop) with I think 4 or 6 tailpipes (or was I high?). Friend took it out of the garage that night, which was a no-no, stocked up on weed and booze and went joyriding all night. No issues.

He drives to my place at 2am to show me and hang out.
He decided to back in to the parking space at my townhouse.
Yes, he backs into another car and dented the fender and bumper.

Yes, kids, that will kill your buzz.

His dad and he were never the same after that.....

In 1987 I almost bought a 1969 912 in sepia brown!!! It was running but needed brakes and suspension work... I passed on it and eventually ended up with a new Jeep Wrangler instead.

Hey Mike, is there much difference between the Chevy 454 and the Pontiac 455 (I remember early Trans-Ams with that designator on the hood scoop).

Back in autumn 1985 I was hitching with my girlfriend from Utrecht to Barcelona to visit a friend. We had a hard time getting out of Paris, but were able to make it to a gas station on the main autoroute to Lyon.
Time for cofee. While we were having coffee next to our backpacks, this young guy walks up to us. Asks if we like a lift to Lyon.

So a while later we're in this BMW 635 CSI, which was top of the line then.
Night falls, and the guy is really speeding it. Almost constantly between 180 and 200 km/h.
While having a chat he tells us that he's the chauffeur of an air force general that flew from Paris to Lyon with a fighter jet. And that he's going to drive to the military airport to pick him up and bring him to his wife, that is staying in Lyon. Quickest drive from Paris to Lyon I ever had.
