Figures the Yugo discussion would come again. This popped up in my newsfeed this morning. This car is for sale. Two 500 cid engines in a Yugo. One driving each set of wheels. My biggest question is WHY???

Nice to see they used the 500 cube Cadillac engines instead of your garden variety 454 Chevy engine, but with that small of a tire and a short wheelbase, I'd be shocked if that car could get any sort of traction. Imo it's a nice fairground cruiser but nothing beyond that.

It may not beat a Mustang in the quarter, but check out the way it runs on the straights in this video.

I'd be more interested in a Innocenti De Tomaso, with Mini Cooper engine.
A friend of my brother had one of those and it "went like the firebrigade".

There is a reason there were almost zero on the road- at least here in the US, a mere 10 years after introduction.
Google Yugo+ reliability. These tales are not apochryphal .

For you to have never even heard that they were unreliable is...amazing.

They have literally been dubbed " worst car ever made" by numerous sources.

That one shown in your post looks rather fine though.

Having owned several VWs and BMWs i am no stranger to unreliability;)
