'69 Camaro SS/RS convertible. Almost bought a pace car replica version (the real deal, white/orange) in 2018. It was on consignment at an independent dealer, had trouble getting questions answered, and a pushy sales guy. Didn't feel right and walked away.

Chrome bumper C3 Corvette convertible. My favorite Corvette. We bought an '07 convertible in 2018 after the Camaro fell through. Lots of styling cues from the C3 plus being a modern car. Tons of fun!

Then there is this. '63 Studebaker Avanti R2. One of my all time favorite cars and also ahead of it's time. This one is a survivor and belongs to a good friend in west TX. He had the interior redone in the original colors (tangerine). Hoping he gets the interior put back together before long. I want to drive it!

Well it's the last day of my Tesla's general warranty. I guess the real test starts now, but so far, pretty good. Two
"outages" (covered under warranty) notwithstanding...

Chevy 60something Impala, black. We don't get American cars here and, especially in my country, biggest engine the average person can afford (due to taxes, mainly) would be a four cylinder 1.6. Perhaps a 1.8.
Still, even if I actually got one and had the means to... "keep it fed", I wouldn't be able to park it anywhere. But they do seem lovely...

My neighbor had one and it was a very cool car way ahead of its time. Photo shows me in my very first car with the Avanti in the background.

Engine choices could have ranged from a 327 cubic inch small block V8 to a 427 cubic inch big block V8. In metric speak, that's anywhere from 5.3 liters up to 7 liters.

Sometimes the fun factor of a car like that would outweigh the cost of operating it.

My 79 Blazer gets 8 mpg, but it's a blast to drive.

My 81 Camaro gets maybe 3 mpg, but the feeling of 700+ street legal horsepower pinning you to the seat is amazing.
