It appears to be a mashup of DKW Schnellaster (this one is a 50-ties electric version)
and VW T1 parts.
Maybe a Fiat Transporter 850 T chassis.
Or a transformed Suzuki Carry Van

Sandman panno is ICONIC. Beautiful. A mate had one for a while in the early 2000s, but sadly found that petrol prices had gone up since the 1970s.
