I just took delivery of my favorite car from the 1980s two days ago! Fastest production vehicle from 1987 and this one is quite a bit faster than stock even though it looks stock.

It's a shame what much of modern car design has devolved into.
They seem to be more obsessed with how much tech they can cram into a vehicle than what it looks like. Style went out of style a long time ago, its all gadgets these days. The exception being a few Detroit muscle cars and those Euro super cars , Aston, Maserati, Bugatti etc
Honestly my fave iconic car is a Karmann Ghia. I'm a big air cooled VW guy and the ghia just has great lines.
Somewhat Iconic? The very "First" high performance EV and the very "Last" of the front engine mounted Corvette C7 model.
One of my friends had an identical looking Z (minus the hood scoop, as I recall) in 1989. She drove it from Illinois to Cali.
1953 Firebird. Firebirds were just always going to be cool looking.

The 1950 OSCA MT4 Vignale Berlinetta. Super cool. It has a windshield for it's windshield!
Recently, the 1980s Porsche 911 has been my most iconic favorite. The turbo had a wing but everything was customizable. The Carrera could be ordered with a wing but it wound't have the upturned rubber lip. You could order a Carrera with a turbo look which included wider fenders, and everything in between and handcrafted.
Thats my next car hopefully by the end of this year!
