Based on your username, I would have been surprised if you posted anything other than a Camaro in this thread.
It's probably still out there somewhere trying to find you...I had one of those, without the cool roof rack and painted in some weird truck bed liner.
A friend sold it to me cheap because he'd *really* pissed of some guys while in that highly identifiable car, and I was doing a lot of weightlifting and didn't look like someone you'd want to mess with. Plus I was moving to L.A.
The car itself tried to kill me twice, though.
Once on the Ventura freeway, the front hood unlatched and blew open, totally obscuring the windshield. I was in the middle lane. You know you're in Los Angeles when you're on the freeway with a hood very visibly blocking your windshield, signaling your lane change so you can get to the shoulder, and people try to race past you rather than slowing down.
The other was on the Santa Monica freeway in a rainstorm. I had to make a lane change quickly, and it was a bit quicker than that rear-engined devil liked. I had to steer out of what would otherwise have been a 360 but I held to a 180
Felt fortunate that I didn't hit the center divider or any other cars.
Sold the car soon after that. I didn't want to give it a third chance.

Had all of these in the family. Actually really nice after the initial shock every time of how low the seat is.

I still DD a 2000 Celica! It gets great gas mileage and is fun to drive. I'll probably drive it until it blows up. Might go for a while though, new rings (and bearings) were done in 2016 to fix the oil burning issue associated with the early 1zzfe.
I thought these were a nice turn for Pontiac in the 2000's.
I'm surprised you found someone to ring and bearing a 1ZZ. Most Toyota shops in my area won't touch them..... they all want to sell you a crate engine.
88 Fiero GT. Last year of the Fiero and likely the best one ever produced. Lotus inspired suspension which was only on the 88's.

I didn't have the funds to take it to a shop. It was just a quick job I did in my father's garage. The piston oil drain holes were totally clogged.
