Pick Your Ideal 3 Bass Arsenal

Nordy J, Sadowsky J, Lull J, USA Jazz Deluxe, or any super nice jazz, definitely.

A nice modern bass - I practically have this covered with my TRB6p with Barts, but would like a Nordstrand SC with Dual Coils.

Last would probably be a P bass... Maybe a Sadowsky PJ!

With those 3 basses, I could cover all the sounds I give a crap about

I second that, that's a great lineup.

If price was an option though...

Fender P/J of some sort (MIJ)
MM HS 5-string
Epiphone Jack Casady or Rickenbacker 4003 for flavor

That would be a decent lineup. The MM would handle metal and rock rell, the P/J would handle most classic styles well and the hollowbody or Rick would be spice on the cake. I am super GASing for a Jack Casady right now.

1. Lakland, Glaub or Dunn (TBD) with flats
2. Guild, JSII (around '76) with tapewounds
3. Guild Starfire dual pickup, mid sixties, with tapewounds

Best of Luck,
Wesley R.

My three amps

1. B15N, with CTS 15G54B
2. B15S speaker not specified to date.
3. V4B head with two B15S cabs from Fliptop,loaded with EVB's

Actually, I'm in excellent bass shape right now, the best I've ever been in all these years of playing. But to pick three, I'd start with these two which I currently use as my main gigging basses:

For #3, I really wish I had held onto this one, a Brice Z6 neck-through ... this particular bass was very special .....
