Just finished this one.

Maple on ash
Jade/black burst paint.
Maple neck
Stabilized Asian ebony fingerboard
Nordstrand Big Splits
Aguilar OBP-3, two volumes and passive tone
Hipshot hardware

The bass came out great. Mucho tone. Glad to call this one #50.

that's mighty fine, Bud...Congratulations! Great Job, yet AGAIN!

colour is spectacular...love those big splits...the passive tone is a nice touch, too...I also like the Vol/Vol instead of Vol/Blend...

Man that bass must be a real chameleon, soundwise...

The only thing I'd change if it were mine (and it's purely personal preference) is that I'd put the passive tone and the active bass control on one knob (saves a knob)...Also, I'd go 5er instead of 6...

Then where you going to put the treble control? Do they make a 250K/50K stacked pot? That's what you'd need to do what you're talking about. You'd have to also install a stacked treble and mid control to lose a knob.

ahhh...you're right...didn't think about the 50k/250k stacked pot thing, it would be a very expensive custom pot (doable, but expensive)...but, if I could do it, I'd stack the treble and mid (forgot to mention that in my post)...

the reason I was thinking along those lines, is because I'd like to have the active bass cut/boost on the same knob as the passive treble roll off...I think it would just be intuitive for me...
