My needs are simple when it comes to pizza pie.
Cracker crust
Good (italian) spicy red gravy
Grated white cheese
Sliced black olives
Fresh sliced mushrooms
There’s a takeout joint here that makes the perfect cracker crust and red gravy so good it is best enjoyed with a bit of white cheese and call it good.
I truly dispise wet pizza, beit grease or
H2O so anything that does that, i’ll pass thank you very much.

I prefer more gravy and cheese than bread. Thick soft crust means more bread than good stuff. There is also the fact that more za means less room for liquid refreshment. While i no longer drink alcohol it did play a major role in the formation of my preference when it comes to ratio of liquid to pizza pie per sitting.

Yup, I posted this earlier.

I believe I saw a television cooking show that referred to the pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce as gravy. YMMV

A lot of Italian restaurants will only offer pizza as margherita or marinara. I have a question for New Yorkers: is Lombardi's supposed to be good? Because I was not very impressed when I went.

Never heard of Lombardi's.

Must be on the wrong side of NY state.
