Please explain the origin of your user name

My initials........ i've used it on every pinball machine (and computer game) I've played since i was about 8 years old as well as every screen name.
When I was first getting into guitar (pre-bass) I got an old 60's Australian valve guitar amplifier off a non ebay auction site called a moody (all lower case) GA35.
I've been using the name ever since. I sold the amp a couple of years ago. It feels slightly weird that I'm still using the name.
PS, Still feels weird when somebody comments and uses my name with the Upper Case.

BigNotes.... need I say more? My mantra: play the big notes on the bottom. It's a bass not a guitar!
I live in the state of Virginia, considered the Old Dominion by many here in the South...my other hobby is I have restored a 1966 army truck, a M35A2 2 1/2 ton cargo truck/troop carrier, and the truck is almost entirely steel/iron, unlike today's vehicles. I found out later there is a surplus military vehicle parts supplier with the same name, but I honestly didn't know that at the time. I use the name on other MV related websites as well.
I have been using the name NoiseNinja for some time now as my english avatar name on internet forums and the like.
I invented it before I realized that there was actually a piece of software with the same name used for cleaning up noise on pictures.
I just like the contradictority of the name:
A noisy ninja, you would think, is not much of ninja.
But then again I love making noise on my bass, so I guess it is a fitting name after all, being a bit of ninja at making noise
Playing my bass unheard by most, but by the most trained ears, like a real bassist should, and then bamn! you get hit by a wall of noise in your back, that leaves you paralyzed, or something.

Back in the mid-nineties in Cincinatti Ohio there was a great debate about teaching Ebonics in schools....for those that don't know what Ebonics is look it up....anyhow I also know a guy named Jay but spelled GEX anyhow me and my band mates were discussing the Ebonics thing and we decided a good spelling for Joe was Gox. The 42 was something we used to say in high school about it being everywhere. I think it was from hitchikers guide. Sooooo. Gox42 it is
It's been my nickname since 1987. Worked at a marina, and we played a game where we would drop pennies off the deck to the dock about 12+ feet below us. If a penny went into the water or between the boards it didn't count. I dropped one that bounced out toward the water, hit an upright and slid down between the upright and the dock. Nobody could beat that one, only tie me.
So, I boned them. Started calling me Jay Bones, and it stuck. Use this name in all my online forums.

My main gig for 9 years was with an old blues master, Texas Johnny Brown.
Some of the songs he wrote in the 90's were written with 5 string bass parts so I bought a 5'er when I joined the band.

So I'm not a real bass player (yes, the secret's out). I'm just a multi-horn player who always kind of liked the sound of the bass - perhaps because the lowest horn I have is only the tenor sax. Finally I got an amp and a cheap bass on Craigslist for under $70 last February, and I just went with it. The bass needed approximately two connections resoldered, and some pickguard screws, and some setup, but that was it. Bam.
This username was supposed to be the model of my trumpet (the Vincent Bach Stradivarius- the bass equivalent would be the Fender Precision for its widespread use) plus the first few serial numbers. As luck would have it, I remembered the model name correctly (yes!). However, I didn't look closely enough at the serial, which starts with 159, placing the trumpet at around 1978. So there we are.
I kind of like the ring of '151' better, though.

When I was around 8,9 an older guy down the street had a wagon in their yard, had the name Mildew Jones painted on it...I kept asking why that name was on it, he would just smile & laugh, then started calling ME Mildew Jones. I've used it for internet stuff for years...

I had just gotten an Xbox 360 and I was joining Xbox Live, at that time I was setting up the account at a friends house and typed a name in which was taken but one of the suggestions was Broadbandcorpse. I finally get internet access in my bedroom to start playing and found out that if your console or computer is connected directly to the phone (I had no splitter at the time), it's like having dialup again (when the phone rings, the internet cuts out) and people found that when someone would call the house that my internet would die hence the term: Broadbandcorpse.
