i think it has a cool look/vibe.
the price would keep me out of that game, however: i dog lots of manufacturers (especially 7ender) for delivering parts basses for way too much money. i don't know if your creation fits that 'parts bass' thing, but it's just too pricey for me.
that said, all of us have ideals in mind, and if that ax floats your boat = you know what to do! good luck with your choices and quests!

The way you wrote this almost makes me feel like your trying to convince yourself to buy something overpriced that you know others will laugh and give you crud for. I suppose the old addage about those who are well off having an "unsual" sense of taste holds true to this day.
the whammy is the only cool thing about it..imo....and how often would you use that feature..buy it, be happy is all that matters.
The price is kinda high for a Chinese-built bass and have you ever tried whammy on a bass? You don't get the dive bomb antics like on a guitar.
If it speaks to you go for it, but I can't imagine what about that bass justifies that price tag.
Gold is so tacky IMO. I have a Spector with gold hardware, because I didn't have a choice. But I'd never get gold if I could design my own.
Neck through, P shaped body with a whammy? Done.
You're all blind. It looks more like a P bass with Jazz pick-ups.

I'm the last person to ever talk someone out of buying a bass, but in this case I would. I remember Halo from several years back and they would make basses around the $500 range and offering pretty much anyone endorsements which was really just a small percentage off.
I would not pay $1000 on a Halo and definitely not what they are asking for that particular bass. I'm pretty sure the OP could get a much nicer bass for way less than that. And if he wants to spend over $3000 on a bass, again there are much better options available.

Have you played a bass with that pickup arrangement before? I'd hesitate to drop almost $4k on a bass with untested features. Most players find a whammy bar gimmicky, but maybe that gimmick works for the music you play.
For significantly less money, you could find someone to mod a Squier or other P bass with two J pickups and a whammy.
I haven't heard much about Halo to have an opinion about them. I think it's way too much money for a P bass copy with a copy modded specs.

I really like the aesthetic of a P-style body with JJ pickups.
That said, I'm not sure how that JJ placement would sound, or how much value the whammy bar has.
