Please talk me out of ordering this

Hey all. I have no need of a new bass. I don't really want one either. But ever since I designed one from Halo on a whim I can't stop thinking about it. It's the most perfect bass ever, and I want to have it exist in the world. But it is PRICEY- and while that's not really a problem these days- I'm having trouble justifying it.

I think it should exist, but I've never seen anything like it. Am I compelled to buy it into being? Or is there something that exists the could prevent that?
since you asked....simply dont buy it. I understand its for the fun of it, but really dont buy it. You yourself said you dont need it. Do you like gluttony? Then dont buy it.

greetings

Halo used to have a pretty bad quality control especially for how much they are. If you're that dead set on halo check out recent reviews especially from the extended range guitar forms.

I personally got a custom pickguard from them and it is really cool but I had to do extra work to get it to fit. Not the worst complaint cause I have rasps but an issue on a full bass is a lot worse.

I'd say warmoth it with a luthier and save like more than 1500.

I'll try to talk you out of it, by resorting to insulting both yourself, and the instrument (but remember, I'm doing this for your own good)....

It looks like the kind of instrument that would only appeal to the type of self indulgent bassist that likes to inflict slap-happy solos on audiences, in the misguided belief that anybody actually enjoys that type of thing, or is actually impressed.

It seems like that bassists dream, without taking in to account the pickup location makes slapping awkward, and that the act of slapping on a bass with a Whammy can have undesirable affects on pitch, and tuning.

OK, have I successfully dissuaded you?

Get it

Well, if you like it and can afford it, then why not?

But since you asked, I'll try:

It looks bad. The whammy bar will mess up the tuning. The gold hardware doesn't match. I don't like pickguards on neck-through basses that show the different woods. On top of that, the white pickguard looks extra ugly. Good luck if you ever want to selI it later. It looks like a cheap Frankenstein bass :vomit:

Did it work? :)
