Neck J, Middle J, no useless bridge J, and a Kahler? I'm really annoyed that Charvel doesn't already make this with a reverse headstock and the Kubicki extension.

I think I'd prefer reverse P pickups, but still.

I think it should exist, but I've never seen anything like it. Am I compelled to buy it into being? Or is there something that exists the could prevent that?

You've got room for a whole 'nother pickup. I wouldn't order that one you designed without first redesigning it with a 3rd pickup. Then I'd order it.

So, I am checking out this builder and I honestly have never heard of them before, which is the only reason I would hesitate dropping that much cash on one of their instruments. I would need more advance peace of mind.

I did just go through an Octavia fanned fret multiscale build though...and it was interesting and a little tempting because it came out much cheaper than the OP's bass.

If that price for that bass didn't knock out your GAS, you are doomed. There are a large number of basses for that price that would pose strong competition in the value department. You could have a G. Gould with a graphite neck and plenty of purty bells and whistles for that money. That being said, I have three Goulds and my bass GAS is non-existent and fully cured. Thank Cthulhu for amp and pedal GAS...and saxophone GAS...and PA GAS...

Please don't take this the wrong way.... but.... First. Are you a professional or hobbyist? Is this just wall art or for working? Just because you order it special doesn't mean it will be a great bass. I've had manufacturers hand me VERY expensive basses that were dogs that barked at the moon. (In my opinion) I wouldn't pay that kind of money without a satisfaction guaranty of some sort. Or.... You're a hobbyist who might not know the difference between an ok and an amazing bass, so enjoy how it looks.

If you buy something that you don't need, it will end up sitting around. You'll play it two or three times, the novelty will wear off, and you'll go back to the basses that you actually need. Then it will be a $3700 eyesore. I like how it looks too. It's cool. unless you are already writing songs on it in your head, I'm guessing you don't need it.
