Fair point considering you’re a supporter but I think the important word in your reply is “lucky”. Some of the complaints here seem to me to be downright petulant. I mean how hard is it to type “no” if someone says “will you take $$ for it?”
) but really everyone should just chill on this - bass player family right? Sellers should throw in as much info as they can but buyers need to do due diligence too and maybe some research if they are serious. Be reasonable, this is not Sweetwater. Very few here are professional sales people so think of the classifieds as a high priced garage sale - ask questions but you may not get all of the answers. Ultimately you take a chance and get some great deals. 
Yes there are always loonies. It’s a mystery to me ‘cos if I’m not interested, I’m not interested and I don’t go any further. I never bothered with tyre kicking as a form of entertainment. Why bother with dumb questions when you don’t want to buy. There is no way to be sure though that a question is spurious just because they didn’t get back to you. The answer may have been the deal breaker. You can never be sure of their real intentions.

What annoys me is someone trying to sell a bass and has little or no information about it in the ad.... only to get annoyed when someone asks for specifics.
Yes, I want ti onow scale length, string spacing, weight, etc. before I buy.
And why should I HAVE TO GO DIGGING AROUND THE MANUFACTURER'S WEBSITE WHEN YOU ARE THE ONE TRYING TO SELL A BASS????

yep - and sometimes when you do go through all the trouble as a seller, you still have knuckleheads asking questions that a serious buyer would have already done their homework on. Mileage varies but come on, I guess being spoon fed is the way of the world now a days.I'll take the opposite approach.

only in private does one typically admit not having the funds until payday. besides being annoying in general, by stalling an item’s sale date, it gives the customer a cooling off period, and which after their significant-other unwinds the deal etc, I dont feel good about my item going to a home where it causes financial difficulties for its new owners. It doesn’t feel good to knowingly perpetuate poverty (been there), and grief into the new owner’s life and stuff...
when you are trying to sell something questions from people aren't really interested or comments about things that have nothing to do with what you are selling get old pretty quick.
