Saw that, doesn't have enough "exclusive" options for the purpose of my bet.
I don't support gambling. ;)

I own and play a 4-string Jazz, 5-string Soundgear and a 6-string Schecter. My next bass is a 4-string Portamento. If you add a 4-6 option, I'll vote... Anything beyond six is extreme, so I simply can't relate enough to vote!

Don't really care about the reasoning behind your preference to play 4, 5 or 6 string's since there are many threads about it already but for the sake of a bet and just to see the numbers I'd like to see your vote in the poll please!

You gotta vote to see the results.

Thanks!

I play a 4-string easily 95% of the time because it's the best sounding bass I have. I play the 5-string as needed for songs that really need that lower string because I hate de-tuning my bass for a song, adjusting my fingering, and then remembering to tune it back up before the next song. Out side of that, I'm really a 4-string guy. So 4 & 5 will do me.

I just stick to 4 'cause I'm lazy and/or not very good. I'm only bashing me, not other 4 stringers. For one song in the studio for a band I disowned, I used my $120 Cort turned fretless as BEAD, and it was completely uncalled for. Not to say I wouldn't do it again, but it's never come up since the mid 90's.

And I've never done it, but there's no option for 2 string slide bass for Mark Sandman admirers. :)

I voted for 4 strings. Even though I quit playing bass. I now only play boutique effects pedals. But I only purchase ones that will make people jealous of my acquisitions. Then I quickly sell them for the new flavor of the month. I know it sounds like im being a wise guy, but I found that I dont really like practice because it takes away from "working" the classifieds. @IngloriousOz would it be possible to add a "I play boutique pedals" option on you're poll. Also, who is you're bookie? I'm wondering what kind of odds he gave you on this bet and how many boxes of macaroni are on the line here.
