Had many of them in the past.

In each of my basses there is a four string bass!

I have one 5 string, one six string and seven 4 strings. I voted anything with strings only because you left out a 4,5,and 6 vote. I play fours 90% of the time and the six is just a cool bass to noodle on.

I can live with 4 strings, but the thought of selling my 5 string makes me panic. I haven't touch the 5 in months, but I know as soon as I sell it I will need it for some dumb reason.

None of my favourite bands from when I was age 12 to the present have a bassist who uses anything but a 4-string bass. I can't think of one bassist who I really like that uses anything but a 4-string bass.

I played 4's back in the day, then when I came back to bass I got a 6 just to be self-indulgent. After playing both (I currently own two 4's and the 6) I now have the desire to settle on a 5 because: 5 fingers, 5 strings, human, organic, makes sense. Of course I am both crazy and poor.
