I've seen a few Fender colour lists and mostly they are accurate up to a certain point but I don't know if there is a definitive list that names every colour from 1947 to now.

Love all shades of Red basses by fender. At this time I have one black and one white. But red is my favorite.

Do it! Just took delivery of my fourth Valenti bass. Ended up not being Dakota Red but that color will come eventually.

Dakota red is a my favorite red. I bought this 66 Precision forty years ago. It had just been refinished (alas) and was the first P bass I really wanted, due to the color and the weight (7.6 lbs).

I played countless gigs on this thing, didn't treat it as well as I should have and a few original parts are forever lost (bridge, covers and a knob), but the rest is there and it's not leaving before I do.

My college roommate had an “arrest me red” colored car. Seems that would be a popular option for a bass.

There used to be a P Bass in Candy Cola with a maple fretboard that hung the local music store for a couple years when I was in high school. I always thought that was the best red color I’ve seen on a Fender.
