I know what I got, my first pedal in got delivered yesterday! After weeks of scouring the boards and listening to clips and youtubing, I decided to have the swollen pickle pop my pedal cherry and I could not be happier with it, not my band can cover some muse tunes since I can cop a couple good but not exact muse tones, yay and now I have the dirt I've been craving for our originals as well, double yay!

the muff is getting modded by Nate at stargazerFX. great guy to work with. i can go into detail whats being done if any one cares. im wanting to make a move back twards single effects. all i really use the Boss for is pitch shifting, compression, synth sounds, delay, flanger and chorus.

i also wanna try out a Rotary effect. anyone ever used one with bass? which one specifically? im thinking the Boss RT-20.

'rang III is very cool, though it already is off the board. It stays as a tool though - just isn't particularly useful in the funk band I'm playing in. I've got some jazz gigs coming up and may be doing them as duo or trio so I'll bring it along, and it is great for guitar gigs (shhh!). I have to rework my solo acoustic thing but it is easy to use and is great for live performance.

Them cheesy days of old stomp boxes? I could never stand them.

Still cannot use even 20% of what this darn thing is capable of.
More sounds than I could ever need.

I started off using one of the cheaper multi unit bass pedals(Digitech Bass BP200), then got this on a wim for 200$ used. Plenty of nice features. The BP200 was a huge leap from the stomp boxes and did not cost much more than single parameter stomp box.

Simple to use, the BNX3 etc are a lot more to wrangle with, but it is still fairly user friendly.

Cool...I'd eventually love to replace my Boss looper with this. This with my DL4 would be a great setup.

It is semi homemade - the board itself is homemade, sanded stained and poly-acrylic plywood, then bordered

the pedalboard case is a seismic audio pedalboard

all in all its great

Thanks! Yes it is at the beginning of the chain. I use it mostly for dub kind of stuff. Basically the RC-2 loops with a clean bass line leaving my hands free to tweak the knobs of the other pedals at the same time (mostly the SYB-5 and the Barge), if you have a looper give it a try that's a lot of fun!
