If a minute of being in a half inch (or less) of snow is enough to damage a bass, well....it probably wouldn't be a bass worth having.

Seriously - people act like taking a few photos in a tiny amount of snow is some horrible thing. It's just water - it wipes off - and it isn't like the bass is being left outside in it for days on end.

Its a shame they replaced it with School Bus Yellow! Not as historically accurate to begin with....

The butterscotch color actually looks good in person, at least the ones I've seen. Some are better than others. Here's my 51 and CS 55 reissues:
