I remember you saying that you reshaped the headstock with a belt sander...Did you sand down and re-clear the whole neck?
Here's my parts p-bass - Fender USA Neck, Squier Body with all routings copper lined, gold anodized pickguard from a Fender California Series bass, Schaller D-Tuner, early 2000's Fender Hot Rod P-Bass pickups with CTS pots, Badass II bridge and will be putting in a Stellartone Tonestyler Ten tone pot and dual concentric volume/tone pot next week.
