Well we're starting to gig again, so I decided to put together a smaller board for live purposes, the other one being unmovable :ninja:

Korg Tuner -> GK Distortion -> Bass Big Muff -> Analogman -> Octavius Squeezer -> Akai Headrush

Received the OS today actually but for the moment I'll keep it off the board, it doesn't seem reliable enough for live yet.

Heres my old/recording/jamming/wtvr board, hasn't changed since last time I posted in this thread (wasit part 6 or something? ;))

That's where I bought mine from. It's pretty hard to go wrong with the Colorsound if you've got the money. It retains low end very well and has a really great wall of fuzz sound. My only complaint is it's a bit noisy on higher gain settings but that's pretty inherent with the effect.

I was interested in the Tonebender, but got a Big Muff instead. Got it modded, same sound, wayy cheaper. And Big Muffs have Leds. :smug:

It's a very good sounding fuzz, but it's just a adjusted Muff so IMO it's way too expensive.

You should try the reel echo. It behaves like those old tape delays, but with very few options or possibilities. The delay time is not as high as I would want it, but for an echo or small delay it is perfect. You can adjust the tone, the mix of your signal etc... Not a full delay or full echo pedal, but a nice combination. You should try it first before picking it up though.

Actually, if I recall correctly, the Muff is a modified Tonebender circuit. I believe that EHX took the Tonebender and added a LPB at the end, which scooped some of the mids and added output.

Hasn't the Big Muff been around a lot longer than the Tonebender? I could be wrong.:confused:

Also, the LPB doesn't cut mids.... if anything, it rolls off an imperceptible amount of treble at higher gain settings.
