Post Your Pedal Board XII - Dirty Dozen

I know I have rubbish cables (they're next on the list once I have all the desired pedals), and I know the effects aren't in great positions (I want the blueberry to be upright ) and I know I can still make a bit of space for more (I will be filling these spaces in the following months with any luck), but this is the first time I've had a board which I can actually say is (more or less) full. I always aimed big in terms of pedalboard, I had a huge one and realised I wouldn't fill it in a million years, now I have this and I'm happy .

Just got an Aphex Bass Exciter and an MXR El Grande is on the way, so, I'll be doing sme experimenting. I think I've caught the effects bug!

How does your Mammoth deal with being 4th in the chain? I've heard it prefers to be first.

Just so ya know, I played my Mammoth tonight, first in the chain, but with an active bass. It was perfectly fine just as long as I fed it enough signal.

Thats a nice setup dude. I have been torn between which fuzz to go for, but somethin tells me russian muff might be the bang for the buck (on a budget too). I guess by quality you are referring to its construction?

Yeh the construction of it is on the cheap side. Unless your dead set on the tone of the Russian Big Muff I would say spend a bit more and get Bass Big Muff or a U.S. version.

It's fine because all the pedal in front of it are true bypass, I think zvex warns people about this incase they're putting buffered or bad bypass pedals in front of it. I do use it with the octron too and it sounds. fine

also- nice board. with those brackets your pedals would survive a hurricane.

Actually, it was a mistake, i had them cut and the person cut them sligtly too long, so this way was the only way to fit them

It's really nice, very versatile. Apparently it blends with 50% of your original signal which I'm not too happy about. I think there is some low end loss on the sweep but it's bound to happen as it can get so large sweeps. I'm thinking of replacing it with something better (and hopefully smaller) at some point.

seriously, the p90 i have doesn't really lose much low end at all, and i love it, and it's TINY compared to what you have, you could replace that phaser with the p90 and another 'boss' size pedal no problem! i love the leslie effect a 90 gives me.

But an EHX Nano Small Stone would lose no low end at all.

It doesn't sound like a Phase 90, but it's my personal preference for phasing.

any idea how it works with active basses? what about on a low b string?

Actually, some of the samples on the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] were done in a drop C tuning.

I've seen those little metal boxes (on the lower right of your board SMB) on a lot of boards on these forums.

As I'm an FX noob I'm curious if anyone can enlighten me as to what they are. A/B switch?, Some sort of modular FX loop?

Just Curious.

Usually, yes, they are an fx loop.

A true bypass loop I believe. A way of keeping pedals with bad bypass out of your signal chain or a way to turn on multiple pedals at once.
