Indeed it is. I got it from a great guitar player friend of mine Dani Rabin. I do not use it for the fuzz.... just as a volume pedal. the knob functions more like a gain knob and less like a drastic volume sweep... which is great for subtle volume adjustments.

I use both for a number of styles. They definitely don't overlap. The octaves sound much different, and the filter is completely different as well. I really like the organ-like sounds that the POG2 is capable of when you put the detune slider to use. Put a little fuzz with it and you've got some seriously cool sounds going on.

It is my only octave pedal right now. I'm about to sell my EBS Octabass because with the preset function, I can get close to the same sounds with the POG2's sub octave, with the right setting on the LP Filter slider.

Finally got the chance to take a pic of it :)
Feels like I should add something else but I'm really not sure, don't need or want dirt, or any weird effect... Maybe just a compressor or something, but still not sure :confused:

Love them. In comparison to other fuzz, overdrive, distortions I own these are a bit less bass heavy, which is nice. They never sound muddy or get lost in the mix. I currently have an Electro Harmonix Bass Big Muff, Electro Harmonix Russian Big Muff, Prescription Electronics Depth Charge, and a Maxon D&S on the sideline. For what I'm doing the OD 808 and D&S II just sit best for every application.

The Ekko is also amazing. I put away my Memory Toy to be able to have full control over my modulation.

All 3 pedals track beautifully and made the latest record that's currently being mixed.

I really dig the transparency of the GR and of course it's size and 9v power but there's a couple things that just miss the mark for me.
I really like the sound quality of the filter in my lower register but up on the G string it somehow sounds harsh or something. I'm not sure why.
Also, I still don't quite get the attack and decay knobs. I mean, I found settings that I like, but I don't totally grasp their action. I'm not sure why I don't care for some settings.
While I like the more transparent tone of the GR and how it lets the bass stay punchy and works well with other pedals, (it's really best at subtlety which I like a lot) it's feels kind of thin and monochromatic to me.
The Q-tron can be dialed down to the GR's neighborhood, can do some crazy over the top lava lamp tones, and has the BP and mix modes that are so cool for guitar.
Really, I'd be happy enough with either of these but I think I like the Q-tron better and I just can't see myself with two filters for some reason.
