i always wondered.... when y'all build your own pedalboard, what do you do for the case? have one in mind and build to that? look around after? hope for the best? go SansCase?

the main reason i hated my PT-Pro was the gargantuous case. thing weighed like 50 lbs by itself. PT-1 = pure awesome portablenessicity.

lol... and, um... jimmy... man-crush aside, you're excluded from this question. a 7 inch foot plank of wood does not need a case i'm thinking.

well when i'm on the road and i have my smaller board, i use a computer bag. but for my bigger board, i can't find a case or bag for it that isn't ridiculous, so no, i don't use a case. i would like to, though. i did drop it once. fortunately it landed pedal size up, but one day it won't...i certainly don't recommend not using a case, that's for sure.

i haven't thought about a case for it yet, but i don't really plan on using one - i'm thinking of putting a handle on either side to make it easier to pick up

I use to use a artist's portfolio when I rocked the home mades....

Right now I looking at finding a keyboard case, turntable case and use the lit for the board, or have something made. My plans have out grown a PT pro by way more then a foot.

Not that I've done this but you could probably buy a case from Audiopile and use foam to pad the top and sides.

Also I've seen some folks use old hard shell suitcases..

Keep in mind I am not done... I'm not going the B Tye way but I plan on more moog I'm thinking another freq and a CP-251 [when I pay down my cards], my moog phase and MXR phase 45 are going back on... Actually my board would be small... if moogers where smaller...

I tried that and what happened was it was great for one instance but then I'd want to do something wild. Or I would end up with two setups... always a compromise. I'm just at the point where I'm sick of messing around, I'm tired or rearranging for a gig and then have to record and need all my other crap.

i'm thinking about getting another PT-1 and putting the more wacky stuff (you SO have me wanting to get into some moogerfoogeders!) on it so i can easily add a layer of signal chain.

Okay, so no band practice today, figured I'd mess around with pedalboard stuff. I posted a while back about putting the big board back together, here's a ROUGH preliminary layout. Cabling obviously isn't done, so I haven't tested it yet. I'll need a couple more 1-spots and another cabling kit...

Still thinking about pedals/order and such. Got a couple I might swap out for others, POG2 might get moved to after the MXR octave, thinking about getting an EHX Freeze. Just kind of letting it sink in for the moment. Having one board is nice, but my current modular setup has proven to be very handy. Decisions, Decisions. lol

Signal Chain:
EB 6180 Volume (tuner out connected to the TU-2) > 105Q > MXR BOD > 3Leaf (Pork Loin in the effects loop) > Prometheus > MXR BEF > Barge Concepts Grinder > SFT > Keeley Sparkle Drive (possibly swapped with the Pork Loin) > BDDI > Fromel Seraph > PS-5 > Whammy > SMMwH > POG2 > Hardwire Reverb > RC-2
