Invalid Link Removed the link to the cases I use, if you can't find anything in your area. You could also try DJ or mixer cases if you need something bigger, but I do know from looking last weekend, those are significantly more expensive.

so.... posted this in the thread where i was asking for help on it.... but it's sorta on-topic here so.... yahp.

about what i thought was the VTD being crappy with my Fuzz Octo combo....

well.... Matt from Wren & Cuff (AWESOME guy) talked me into putting a Boss LMB-3 (only Boss pedal i have) between the PPB and the Aggy Octo, turned off, to take advantage of it's buffered bypass. it fixed it.

i TOTALLY misdiagnosed what was the problem. it was that the PPB was putting out such a small signal turning on the octaver put it back to the correct volume, but i had turned it up so much that the "correct" volume was too loud i think. hence the volume jump.

i'm not too bright about true bypass/bypass issues.... what's going on? what's a way to fix it without adding another pedal that i don't want to my board?

I have to admit, even if I do say so myself.

This was one of the most awesome pedalboards ever assembled.

However I think I can do more with my current pt jr and m13, of course I need my LS-2 as well

and put it in an altoids tin between the two pedals. DIY FTW

you could slim down the box even smaller by leaving off the switch and LED, just have it always be on...

I've seen a few people with 2 Ernie Ball Volume pedals on their boards. Why? Is one for passive basses and the other for active? Or I have a feeling you can use them as expression pedals... could be wrong on that. Please explain

Both.
There are active (model 6181 25k Ohm) and passive (model 6180 250k Ohm) volume pedal versions. You can also use them as an expression pedal with a insert cable, or with certain pedals such as the ModFactor/PitchFactor/TimeFactor with just a simple mono cable plugged into them.

You can also send your EBVP Jr. to Toneczar Effects and he can make it into a true expression pedal modeled after his own design for use with his pedals, or modeled after a Moog EP-2.

In the past I have owned or done all of these things. Great volume pedals at an even better price (especially if you buy one with a broken string or scratchy pot as they are really really easy to replace... I can find them for as low as $25 if I wanted to) that don't require batteries or a power supply to operate.

I've got one (6181) that sits off board at the end of my signal chain for use as a mute and for volume swells.

That board did parallel processing so each volume pedal is a volume per side if that makes sense.

Thought I would just share a bit of info with you pedal guys....

For those of you who (are lucky) enough to have one of the newer dredgetone anglers (blue one with decals), they are NOT true mechanical 3PDT bypass.

I spoke with John and he is working on another batch which will hopefully be ready in September. The new batch will be different in 3 ways...

1) True 3PDT mechanical bypass
2) Green powdercoat with yellow silkscreened graphics (like the original)
3) It will use the standard 2.1mm Boss-type barrel female adapter (not the current male adapter)

I also spoke with Will at WMD and he does a bass modification to his Geiger Counter for those of you interested (super cool guy, told me how to perfectly set up my super fatman for bass as well as guitar) and recommended the best expression pedals to use.
