I love it, especially the Orange side! It can really squash your signal nicely, if you want, for some really funky slaps and pops, but if you push the level too far, it can also get a bit noisy/hissy (which is to be expected/nature of the beast). The Red side does a very good Dyna Comp, but of course with better components.

You can also back the controls off enough on the Red side to get a nice transparent compression - maybe not as good as some specific transparent units, but my ears can't really tell the difference. I find the Mini BiComp to be a very versatile and well-made compressor, worth the money! :)

Its a distortion pedal. Very gritty and unruly. I think it sounds absolutely awesome, but its not for everyone. You do lose a little bit of low with it, so it would advisable to either blend it or use it on one channel of a bi-amp setup. It is also not meant to be a quiet or easily controllable pedal, very loud and noisy. But I love it. Makes me feed back like a b***h

honestly, i got the X2 because i've seen more people round these parts rave about them than any other 3 wireless systems combined.
and if a hi-fi uber-clarity loving 7 string player can't tell the difference between his X2 and an actual cable, then that's good enough for me! :)

I've been working on this board for three months or so.....it may change slightly but this is basically it.

Moog LPF w/ expression pedal, Empress Effects Superdelay w. expression pedal, Analogman modded TS9DX, Boss OC2, Korg Pitchblack tuner and a Loop Master bypass looper. I always have my Boss Volume pedal off to the side as well.

I do have an MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe on the way to compare to my TS9DX. I'd like to get a reverb pedal and a looping pedal as well at some point....and I'd love to track down a Foxrox Octron 2.

It's outstanding for bass....and yes, the reverse mode gets used often. It's my favorite part. There are some really amazing sounds in this pedal. I can see that it would be overkill for a lot of bass players, however, it is also an extremely useful tool for the imaginative. Keep your eyes peeled on the Empress Effects site. I'm going to be making some sound clips for bass in the coming week or so.
