You might wanna try a DOD FX25 for dub. It's an envelope filter, but if you turn the sensitivity right down so the filter never opens, you get this massive low end tone. It's sweet.

Its a nice sound and a lot of people use it for that but I found that the volume output of the unit was very low. I have a feeling I am not the only one that thought so, but perhaps that was just the FX25B as opposed to the FX25.

Dub is a type of music/style that has extremely bassy bass with really no highs at all. ...The Peter definition.
It's worth mentioning further that it's a derivative of reggae, where the studio producer recording a reggae track would make an alternate version of the track with the bass and drums turned up and the melodic instruments and vocalists fading/cuttting in and out. :)

i know, mines been through a bit, i know what ya mean about no low end loss, thats what really attracted me to it....how much did you pay for it? i found mine in a pawn broker for $50

Sorry Heath, I havn't checked this thread for a little while!! In regard to your question (page 121) about my Boss HM-2: Mine cost me about $40 Aud on Ebay. The thing seriously looks like it might have been the 'Official Boss Test Model'. I think its been thrown off a few cliffs and run over a few times etc....It still functions faultlessly :)

here's my humble collection:

all i got for a board is a pedaltrain jr, which won't fit all the pedals i have. don't think i'll wanna bring all of them with me since i barely get to use them and they'll weigh a lot, most of the time, i don't bring them along at all, since i haven't found a way to fit the sound into the church music i'm playing. a looper is on it's way, a digitech jamman. i'm really looking forward to it.
