Really! :smug:

DD20 <- PDDI <- TU-2

The gold thing stickin' out of the DD-2 is a 1/4" -> 1/8" Stereo adaptor for using headphones. Works well actually! Especially so cus the PDDI can produce a line level (+4dB) signal. I also use the adaptor with the 1/8" stereo -> L/R RCA adaptor (you can just see it below the instrument cable on the left). That way I can run it into my stereo and have some neat pan delay/tremelo (if I play staccatto). I mostly use it for a chorusy-reverb that really makes the PDDI sound fat! The next step will be to get a stereo power amp/cabinets, but that's not for quite a while.

I'm acctually thinking (@mods especially: just thinking mind you), of selling off most/all of my other FX. Not taking any offers yet though :D

by the way... ever seen this?

larry graham, one of the funkiest people alive, demonstrating his favorite pedals, two of which you mentioned.

No, Clark mentioned all THREE! I'm betting he's seen that video, as anyone who has seen it immediately covets those exact three pedals.

I can say from experience that the Jet Phase and the Octave Divider are worth it, but only Larry could make the Juggernaut sound good.

I know alot of people say they are done with their board. But I really am (well unless I some how get about $1000 for that amazing toneczar delay in a recent thread) But after about 2 years of work, I am seriously happy with my pedalboard.

Everything on the board functions the way I need it to, nothing there is useless, everything is in a good location to be used. I have my distortions set up just perfectly, I have enough ambience and delay to cover any needs, I can loop, I can make swells, I have random noise generations, volume control, and I can even match levels on different basses to get an even sound out of different instruments.

I am truely happy with my board.

When I have a chance I'll try to record some sound samples for my distortion set ups, since it isn't as straightforward as it looks.

clark dark, welcome!! stick around, have a good time.

nice board, by the way. very... funky.

i, too, want an ap7. ya!

by the way... ever seen this?

enjoy!

That jet phase just gave me major g.a.s. Is there anything similar sounding on the market?

You can get a very good approximation by running any smooth fuzz into any multi-stage phaser. I ran my Disnortion into an old DOD 595 phaser, and it actually sounded even more awesome to me than my Jet Phase. I bet (pick your favorite fuzz) into a Pigtronix or Red Witch phase would be stellar!

oh, i'm happy now! i had an epiphany late last night, regarding the order of my pedals. i must thank everyone here at talkbass for helping me see the light, too. ALL you people rock.

this was my order:
tu2 - EH POG - tech21 PBDDI - boss hm2 - phaser - bassballs - qtron+ - mxr smart gate - dd3.

i recently went shopping (alot) and got some cool new and used pedals from the baybaybay and guitar center... went a little nuts, actually... but that's another story.

new order is:
tu2 - EH POG - EH LBM - boss ph1r phaser - boss bf2 flanger - PBDDI -
mxr gate - locobox AD-01 delay.

the epiphany had to do with putting the effects, and especially the fuzz, BEFORE the tech 21, not after it. i found that all the fuzzes i tried took away all the "bassiness" in my sound. it just sounded like a guitar playing low notes all fuzzy, y'know? no real low-end at all. but when i blended the fuzz with the tech 21 (ahhhhhh that 'blend' knob is just too genius), i got fantastic eq control over my fuzz sound. awesome! now, combine that with the POG's lower octave (with a little upper octaves thrown in for spice) and a short delay.... whoa. the word "evil" comes to mind.

the phaser and flanger both boost my level too much, but i can at least control this a little with the tech 21 now.

the more i thought about it, the more it made sense: treat the SANSAMP like an amp. bingo! kinda obvious, really. don't know why it took me this long....

by the way, the bf2 and the ph1r = awesome. i still have more flangers and phasers on the way, so i still have some testing to do there... but both of those kick major booty. i'll (obviously) let you all know about them when i get them. the locobox AD-01 was a sweet find for 50 bucks. a killer little analog delay from the early 80's. (i have a new love: analog delay. yum!) the little big muff kicks butt, just as the hm2 does... but ultimately i went with the LBM... it sounds a little bit better.... not much, but enough. the hm2 is an awesome fuzz! i don't use the bassballs enough to justify it being a permanent resident of jetpackpedalboard-land. gone!....(but not forgotten...)

oh, and my qtron+ decided to stop working, so it's being sent out for warranty repair work! fun! :rollno: :scowl:

but as far as everything else is concerned: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

and :bassist:

sorry for the long-winded thang.... but i'm pretty happy, dammit!

-jpb.

PS. pictures coming soon.

Bet your all on the edges of your computer chairs (or whatever your sitting in right now), eh????
Yeah, but only coz I'm slouching so bad!

Digging the Morley, Ron Now. Is that a PWO or a PWB or what? My PWO is undergoing surgery as we speak so it's ready to assimilate with it's modern counterparts on my board!

Bongo, think a green sovtek big muff through a Moogerfooger MF-103 would do the trick?

PWO, the shop I got it from had that and the PWF (I think thats the model, it had a fuzz circut.)But that was broken to my dismay, I might go back and see if I can snag the broken one to fix up because the PWO is by far the best wah I've ever used.

by the way, lock down that truly beautiful disaster, 'cuz i'm gonna try and steal it.

Hey now, I did my fair shair of wanting to steal one myself, but I did eventually break down and just buy one. I suggest the same, mainly because I don't want to have to pay for another one.
