Is the DMC GCX the newer version of the Rocktron 9-loop unit?? I've seen a few of those sold together with the Rocktron All-Access MIDI board, and thought Voodoo and Rocktron had combined somewhere or sometime down the line. And I wouldn't even need that crazy of a MIDI board (even though I'd WANT it!) for my setup of pedals. I may look into that option... Can you get those pull-out shelves like at MF or Music123 or something?? I wouldn't think they'd be that expensive.

I just aquired a snarling dogs mold spore which is a wah and ring mod combined and you can use either effect independantly or both together, I was really surprised knowing this was a guitar pedal I thought it would be awful on bass, but its not it's great.

I'd love to try the proper Bass Wah they do.

yeah power is an issue.. atm ive got a daisy chain powering a few pedals from the ls-2. the rest are powered by individual 9v adapters. its messy, i need to get a voodoo labs pedalpower or something.

any suggestions? im certainly open to them. thanks.

It can't use batteries. It uses the one and only power supply that came with it. I really don't mind having 2 power supplies (one standard with 2 daisy chains and the Whammy supplie,) but I thought it would be easier to have 1 power supply.

Upoun looking into my Whammy Handbook, it says (and I quote) "Connect the provided supply to this jack. Do not use any power supply other than the supplied PS750 or PS0913B."

I looked at the manual, and they don't list the power requirements of the Whammy...

I googled the PS750 and PS913 and it appears that it's a 9volt power adapter, but has an output of 1300 mA.

I'd trust the manual, then and only use it, since it appears the Whammy requires a greater level of current than most pedals.

Still 2 is better than 20!

+1, if you look on the side of the Digitech Whammy it does say 9VAC 1.3A so I would use their power supply.

Usually when they say, 'do not connect any other power supply then the one provided' is aload of bol*x and their just trying to get more money out of you by buying more of their products, but id agree with them this time! :bassist:

+1.

I pity whoever plugs their AC Whammy into a DC daisy chain.

P.S. - I use a Line6 adaptor to power mine because the old one fell apart. The Line6 one is rated at 9VAC 2000mA.....I believe it's the same one that powers the POD series of stuff.
