I hate this pedalboard game
Just when u think you think you have your rig sussed all out. You look at ebay, or here, or just have another idea. This is my new plan...
Ibanez EDA900 --> EHX Muff'n --> EHX Muff'n --> Ibanez Weeping Demon --> MXR Flanger --> EHX Small Clone --> MXR Phase90 --> Gallien Kruger 400RB-IV --> Warwick Pro 211 --> Warwick Pro 410
I already have the small clone, and i just won the weeping demon on ebay for a good price. At the moment ive been running a guv'nor II for a crunchy/chunky overdrive, a big muff for... well... the big muff!
I'm actually pretty happy with my dist/od pedals now, theyre great. But i remembered how much i like the muffn after hearing some more clips and reviews. Plus the tubey goodness. I will purchase one from ebay, and test it out, make sure it can get the sounds i want. Then if it does, ill buy the second. The first will be running an OD sound, while the second one will be in über saturation for some serious deathstortion.
I was going to get a morley pba-2... but, after reading mixed reviews, finding out it only has a volume button and no tonal controls i was put off. I want an edgey/aggressive wah sound for playing in my heavy/metal/proggish band and the dunlop was farr too bubbly and funky. The demon souunds like it should do the trick. I have been running a v-wah, but im not overly happy with it anymore.
And then finally i will be picking up the flanger and phase90 off ebay. The flanger explains itself, i believe its one of the best out there. and i was thinking of getting a EHX small stone, but i think the phase90 has more of the swooshing sound that im looking for.
And then finally this will all be run by a dunlop power brick. again off ebay. ebay is my friend
hopefully i should be set with this set up
Peace
Blake
