That Geeked picture isn't really to scale, but yeah it's pretty big. Two switches, 6 knobs, 1 tube.

Hey Beneman, that's a killer set-up. How do you like that Hiwatt wah? The specs seem great. Does it retain lows well? Any volume drop when engaged? Does it have a decent sweep range? I know it's true bypass, but the other things are issues that are important to a lot of us and they aren't mentioned in any reviews I've seen. Thanks.

I just traded my Multipexer a week ago for a BF-2. Great pedal, very natural sounding. Although it did have trouble tracking on some of the lower notes on my E string, but i would imagine most octavers would be like that. I just had no use for an octaver and i "needed" a flanger

I still haven't figured out a new layout for my board, but the Jet Phase is a keeper; as big as it is, and even though for bass it's just a one-trick pony, it's just so awesome-sounding. Instant stoner sludge throb. And I'm having loads of fun combining it with the AF9. Put the AF9 before the Jet Phase, and you get a great cross between Jimi and Bootsy. Put the AF9 after the Jet Phase, and you get a bizarre yelping fluttering squelching booming random space alien thing going on. I recommend it highly, especially if you have had a few beers.

The PT999 is a great little phaser. More subtle than most, even at fast settings. Very transparent, adds a lot of warmth to my tone. When I'm not using other effects, I have this engaged for my "clean" tone.
I tried an MXR many years ago so I don't quite remember how it sounds in comparison. I think it adds more head room in terms of speed, but I don't think it can match the warmth of the Maxon.
Unfortunately, there's no room for it on my current set up. The phaser on the EP-1 is servicable for now, but I hope to add the Maxon back in soon.
And speaking of Maxon, I wouldn't mind trying the PH-350 soon - it looks very tastey...

Hey man, that is some SWEET gear. How's that KAOSS (I think that's what it is) pad next to the laptop? I wanna get one, but could I plug a feed from my board or another instruments and manipulate it in real time?

I took a bit of a gamble when I bought this pedal as I had never heard it before and the reviews on HC were mixed. I have to say I have no regrets as this is a great wah for bass. You can control the sweep from deep bass to nasally treble with the dial on the side of the pedal. I have mine set to around 10 o'clock for a great wah sound that doesn't kill my lows. Great tone, a lot of warmth this one.
There are a couple of iritations with it. Like some true bypass pedals, it does make a pop when engaged. Not very noticable in a band setting but it is there.
Also, it is reverse polarity (positive tip) so you can't run it off a daisy chain or non-isolated power supplies if using it with other pedals. Not an issue with my current setup, but for more portable setups where I might use just a couple of effects, I'm stuck with multiple power supplies or just using batteries.

As long as it the same sizne adapter, and 9volt, One Spot and Godlyke both have connectors that will switch the polarity.benevan said:

Yes- having a Bass Octave Fuzz and a Wolly Mammoth in the same set up is over kill.
For all who is interested, I use the BoF, and it is a great, face melting pedal. It seems to have the benefit of working better with active basses than the mammoth. If I may explain, I use mine with an EMG active set up. People tell me the Mammoth is unkind to active basses, although admitedly I have not been able to experience the mammoth myself.
