I had the Q-Tron modified to have an output level and an extra LED for when the effect is on. I was finding that the volume was always blasting when I turned the effect on regardless of what setting I had it at. The other LED is for "overload" so I wanted one just to show when the unit is on. Because I loop it through the Bassbone, I can turn effects on and off and then just trigger it all at one click of the Bassbone so I need to have a visual of what's on and off.
niceone mate thanks,I have a qtron too, which I am very happy with,I use it just before my multicomp, which helps controlling the volume jumps, but might have to mod it like yours to have a good volume control.is it easy enough to do that mod?

I'm not sure how easy it is to do. I have a guy that's good at all that type of stuff that I go to. It was not very expensive and it has worked well so far.

I love the Q-Tron. Unfortunately, it is big, expensive and can only be used with the 24V adaptor, but it is the best envelope filter I have ever used and heard.

Sine I got my Maxon AF-9, here's my update:
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
Ibanez LU10 Tuner is out of the signal path which is MXR Bass Octave (true bypass modded) > Maxon AF-9 > Fulltone Bass Drive > Kelley Compressor > MXR Micro-amp.
I just use it before giging to check my tuning.

Love the board. It's so secret-agent James Bond-looking in that case with the foam. Open it up and unleash some fury. :D
hahaha, thanks.

Now I'm starting to think I'm not even going to do a board, I only use one or two effects at a time and I like to have them on top of my rack case to fiddle with the controls and not step on (read: break) them all the time.

Hey man, that is some SWEET gear. How's that KAOSS (I think that's what it is) pad next to the laptop? I wanna get one, but could I plug a feed from my board or another instruments and manipulate it in real time?

hey, friend. sorry for the delay.
wellll....its definitely a cool toy. you'll need a free hand, unless youve got a light toe (dont wanna crack the screen).

ive been making some wacky sounds recently be feeding it back into itself... wild times!

Since I will have the Micro-amp for sale, I still need approx. 520 € to get my board complete (including chorus, phaser and George L's cables).
I've just ordered my Ashdown rig, so I'm a out of money for now...:crying:
Maybe 3-4 months
my rig is similiar to yours but i have:
Radial bassbone>Fulltone Bass-drive>Bassball>Maxon AF9>Analogman Chorus>Boss LMB3. +Boss TU-2
im selling the fulltone bassdrive for an analogman TS9DX becuase i feel the bassdrive is not all that good, its too big (takes the space of 2 pedals) and i only need one channel, basically i like just a tiny touch of grit but the fulltone can't do it, its too much.
i also want to swap the bassballs for a phaser, i like your choice but i was also looking at the HBE phaser, half the price and looks funky also. Im also going to get an analogman compRosser, i lookey into that Keeley but its not good for me, i need a compressor with attack control on the front, the Keeley now has an internal control but i use passive/active on gigs so i need to be able to adjust it on the fly. Also the Keeley is designed to get that chicken pickin sound, not really what im after on bass guitar.
long live analogman;)

Fine...
Let me know when you want to sell your bassdrive, I know somebody who could be interested in that.
I was also looking for the Homebrew phaser first, but Maxon 9 serie effects really rock! and you can run the phase shifter at 18V to get more headroom and less noise.
I prefer Kelley comp instead of analogman (both are exellent compressors) because of its internal "input sensitivity" control.
Inernal attack is not a problem for me because I hate change settings during a gig (and I never saw any professionnal musicians doing that...)
